Budher Caves are naturally made ancient caves that are commonly known as Miola caves. The caves
were discovered by German National, Miola and were named after him. But the end point of these caves
is still unexplored as the trekking path is highly difficult. As per myths, it is believed that Budher caves
were built by the Pandavas of the Mahabharat period and are more than 150kms in length.
Budher caves are situated at 3kms trekking distance from Forest Rest House Budher to the Miola Tibba.
Rorest Rest House of Budher was earlier developed in the year 1868 and was renovated in the year
2008. Miola Tibba is a beautiful sight that is located at an altitudinal height of 2,590 meters above the sea
level and offers magnificent views to Himalayan ranges. The Budher caves entrance is located at the
meadow.
How to Arrive at Budher Caves at Chakarta
Budher caves are largely famous tourists’ attraction at Chakarta and are located 30kms away from the
town. In order to arrive here, tourists can take small trek from FRH of Budher. Taxis are available that
may drive from Chakarta till FRH Budher.
