Welham Girls School Admission Process

• Interested parents can send a demand draft to obtain the school prospectus and registration form. The draft should be drawn in favour of "The Principal, Welham Girls' School", payable at Dehradun.
• Registration of the child can be done any time after birth till a month before the date of the assessment for the relevant year.
• To complete the registration, certified copy of the girl's original birth certificate and prescribed registration fee should be submitted.
• Every girl registered for admission into classes VI & VII is expected to appear for an Aptitude/ Proficiency Assessment. Clearing a medical test after the assessment is also mandatory.
• Details of the assessment will be communicated to the parents well in advance.
• Some preference is given to daughters of transferable Government officials and serving Armed Forces personnel.
• Preference is also given to girls whose mothers have studied in this school for a minimum of four years or who have passed out of school at the end of Class XII.
• Those whose real sisters have studied or are at present studying in the School are also given preference.
• However, for class XI, admissions depends on the board exams results and hence no such preference.
• For class 11 admissions, a student must necessarily have obtained a minimum average of 80% in all examinations conducted by the school.
