Being the entry gateway to the Bijrani range of Corbett National Park, Amdanda gate allows the visitors from Kaladhungi, Nainital and Haldwani to arrive here. Tourists can easily reach to the diverse vegetarian area of the Corbett National Park of the Bijrani Zone via Amdanda Gate.
After crossing 5kms, tourists will arrive at the Bijrani range. This range is 3kms away from Ramnagar city. Amdanda Gate is also used to arrive at Bijrani which is only 7kms and Malani which is only 19kms away. Visitors can arrive here at Bijrani and Malani as they offer comfortable lodging facilities here at hotels and Forest Rest Houses.
Tourists who wish to arrive here can get the accommodation facilities at Bijrani and Malani during night from 15 November to 15th June of the year. Bijrani zone is usually preferred during the day visit. Amdanda Gate is good for morning and afternoon visits. Amdanda Gate is open for usual visits from 1st October to June 30th and remains closed only during the monsoon season. Visitors can also visit Garija Temple near the Amdanda Gate.

How to Arrive at Amdanda Gate
In order to reach here tourist can hire a taxi or a jeep from Ramnagar city which is located at a distance of only 3kms. Ramnagar is connected via road and railway. Regular buses are accessible from Delhi, Kathgodam and Haldwani and other important cities of Kumaon and Garhwal to reach Ramnagar. The closest railway station is Ramnagar railway station and the nearest airport is Pantnagar airport.
