Bhavishya Badri, also called as Bhabisya Badri is a small scared temple located at the distance of 17 kilometer from Joshimath. It is positioned on an ancient pilgrim route to Mount Kailash and Manasarovar, beside the Dhauli Ganges River and sets up at an elevation of 2,744 meters above sea level. Bhavishya Badri as the name suggests, is believed to be the home of Lord badrinath in future. As per the name depicts, Bhavishya Badri will be the future home of Badrinathji. It is believed that a destructive landslide at the end of Kali yugas (eras) will block way to Badrinath and Badrivishal will shifted to Bhavishya Badri. This destructive landslide would occur when the right arm of Narsing statue in Narsing temple breaks down.
