Dhangadi gate forms a significant entryway for the visitors travelling to Dhikala Range of Corbett National Park. It is situated at a distance of 20kms from Ramnagar at Ranikhet road and is the best spot for visitors to stop by and relax overnight at Forest Rest Houses accessible at Sairal, Sultan, Sarapduli and Dhikala.
Those visitors who have night stay permission in the forest rest house are only allowed to enter through Dhangadi gate. During the day visits are allowed only in the canters that are operated by the Forest Department. Day tour is named as Ramnagar tour and encompasses wide variety of vegetation along with beautiful sights of extensive forest. Dhangadi gate remains open from 15th November to 15th June and closes only in Monsoons.

How to Arrive at Dhangadi Gate
Dhangadi gate is situated at a distance of 20kms from Ramnagar city and can be easily reached via taxi or jeep. The area experiences strong network of roads and railways and allows easy travelling to tourists. Buses and taxis are available from Ramnagar and run to and from here.
For travelers arriving at Dhangadi gate from Delhi, frequent buses are available from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Delhi is located at a distance of 245kms, Kathgodam (63kms), and Haldwani (55kms). Nearest railway station is Ramnagar station which is located at a distance of 20kms and closest airport is Pantnagar airport.
