Durga Devi area is ideally a hill safari zone that inundates with rich and diverse floral and faunal beauty in the Corbett National Park. It is located at the North Eastern side of the park and offer beautiful and pleasing sights of Ramganga River and Mandal River that flow it’s along side. Durga Devi Zone is largely famous for sightseeing of Wild Elephants and Fishing at Domunda Bridge. Also, famous Mahasheer fish is found here and provides ample of opportunity for bird watching too.
Travelers arriving at Durga Devi zone can stay at Lohachaur Forest Rest House in the area. For Safari, tourists can either book a jeep or can take elephant ride. Booking to both are done on prior basis. All bookings ought to be done at Ramnagar office. The zone stays open for visitors from October 15th to June 15th and remains closed during monsoons. Only two safaris are allowed in a day.
