A brief description about Gwaldam

Located 98 kms away from Chamoli, Gwaldam is established above sea level at 1,708 meters and is also called as little paradise in the woods. It is a small beautiful town and hill station located between the Garhwal and Kumaon regions. The Gwaldam town is situated in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand and is amid by pine trees and apple orchads with the Pindaar Lake flowing through it.

The location of Gwaldam represents thrilling view of great Himalayan peaks Trishul, Nanda Devi and Nanda Ghuti. This small town is well known for an SSB training region situated in the central part of this place. The people of Gwaldam are basically from Garhwali and Kumauni cultures.

Best Time to visit Gwaldam
The best time for you in order to travel Gwaldam is during the months of February to July as weather is pretty enjoyable between these months and you can experience the best mesmerizing trip during this time. In winter it’s advised to bring heavy woolens as the temperature is quite low at this time and in summer you can take light woolen clothes.

The monsoon season is started from July and ended in September month. During this time period most of the activities are cancelled due to the heavy rains. In the month of August rainfall is on peak and throughout October and November months the weather situations are pleasant.
